In the blink of an eye, the t-shirt dress exploded onto the scene. I bought this dress a little less than a week ago. I was planning on wearing it a few days ago, for my last blog post, when my friend sent me this: Needless to say, we're all planning around each other now so we don't end up wearing it on the same day. I'm not overly surprised we all bought the same dress, though. It is without doubt the most comfortable thing I have worn (besides sweatpants because come on). The stripes make it perfect for summer, and it can be dressed up or down, depending on shoes and accessories. I also love tying flannels or other bigger long-sleeve button-downs around my waist. They're incredibly useful when I walk into a building that's kept at 65 degrees. Much Love! Vikka (p.s. only 2 weeks until Europe!!!) Shop Similar Looks:
Historic Downtown Franklin, located 30 minutes south of Nashville, has character and charm embedded across the entire town. The people are insanely friendly, the food is fantastic (Go to Puckett's for an insanely good Vegetable Platter, or order a Turtle Latte from Frothy Monkey), and even the very structure has character. Most of the buildings are historic, giving them a lot of depth as well as making for interesting backdrops. Summer is really starting to heat up! We had a couple days this week where the temperature peaked at 90. My friends an I shot photos for about an hour and were completely sweaty by the end. Even an iced dirty chai from Frothy (personally, I like a Starbuck's dirty chai more) couldn't keep me cool for long. Somehow the only ones whom managed to beat the heat were Tyler (in full black) and Jordan (who was wearing a long-sleeve t-shirt). Maybe it's a guy thing. I'm trying to come up with different ways to stay cool (I've come up with constant pool days, lots of iced coffee, and top knots) for the next several months, seeing as Tennessee doesn't typically start cooling off until sometime in October. (Sidebar: I leave for Europe in two and a half weeks and I couldn't be more pumped) Much Love -Vikka Shop similar looks: I've never had a big-girl job, and therefore didn't own many big-girl-job clothes. This summer, however, I got a job in an office, and suddenly found myself needing more professional clothes to fit the atmosphere. Being a college student, I didn't have a lot of money to spend. I went for basics, so no one would notice if I wore the same shirt in the same week. I also hit up stores such as Target and T.J.Maxx, where I knew I wouldn't kill my bank account.
