The final two days of the trip were incredibly dreamy. We woke up and began cruising up the Rhine through the European countryside. All around, cattle were sunbathing on the small beaches the river offered. We reached Kinderdijk around midday, and were able to get up close and personal with the Dutch windmills. They're much larger than I expected, and I had no idea they are/were actually homes!
After Kinderdijk, we set off once more towards Amsterdam, and cruised throughout the night. I woke up early (I'm talking 4:30am) and went on the top deck of the ship to take photos of the city in the morning light. I never considered it before coming, but Europe's days are much longer than Nashville's around this time of year, because it's much farther north. The sun didn't set until around 9:30! Well, that's a wrap on Europe! I'm finally home and still haven't even unpacked! Thanks to everyone who's been following (aka my mom) and be on the lookout for more posts! Much Love, Vikka
